Terms of Service

Last updated: April 29, 2026

These terms are written to be read by a human, not a lawyer. If anything is unclear, email us.

1. The service

Watch monitors third-party API status pages and sends you notifications when they report outages or degradation. We poll official status sources every 5 minutes. We don't monitor the uptime of your own systems.

Watch is provided by TinyKomainu, a Japanese business (contact: mk@natrium.co.jp).

2. Your account

You sign in with Google or email. You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share access — each account is for one person or one team, depending on your plan.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Watch. By using the service, you confirm that you are.

3. Plans and payment

Free plan: No payment required. No credit card required. No expiration. The free tier is genuinely free.

Paid plans (Pro, Team):Require a valid payment method, processed by Stripe. Billing is monthly. You're charged at the start of each billing period.

All prices are in USD. No surprise charges. We'll email you before any price change.

4. Cancellation

Cancel anytime from the billing page. Two clicks. No cancellation form, no retention dark patterns, no "please stay" loop.

You keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't issue refunds for partial months.

If you want a refund for an exceptional reason, email us at mk@natrium.co.jp. We'll handle it like a person, not a policy.

5. What we do and don't promise

We check status pages every 5 minutes and send notifications immediately on state change. We can't guarantee exact delivery timing — that depends on email providers, Slack, Discord, and other services outside our control.

We don't promise 100% uptime for Watch itself. We're a small team. We try hard to be reliable, and if Watch has a significant outage, we'll post about it publicly.

API status data comes from each API's own status page. We relay that information; we don't independently verify it. If an API's status page is wrong, ours will be too.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Watch to abuse our polling infrastructure. Don't create fake accounts to bypass free-tier limits. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. We'll contact you first unless the violation is severe.

7. Limitation of liability

Watch is a monitoring tool, not a guarantee of service. We're not liable for damages caused by API outages we notified you about, or failed to notify you about because of a Watch failure.

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We'll email you and post an in-app notice at least 14 days before making material changes. You have that time to review and cancel if you disagree. Continuing to use Watch after changes take effect means you accept them.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. TinyKomainu is a Japanese business. Disputes will be handled in Japanese courts, unless we agree otherwise.
